COMELT at the Fakuma 2023
COMELT at the FAKUMA 2023 – Extrusion show die at the booth with numerous features:- Customizing of high-tech dies and feed blocks
- Focus maximisation running times, automation product thickness, new coating procedures
During this year`s Fakuma, the Austrian COMELT presents a show die directly in Hall A6 at Booth 6307 – with this die, some of the numerous options for the development as well as manufacture of slot dies are shown.
Customizing of the high-tech dies & feed blocks as common practice
„Our model shows for example the manual and automatic adjustment of the flex lip, a restrictor bar or external deckling. One of the advantages for our customers is that at COMELT, our dies and feed blocks are completely adapted to the customer requirement – for us, customizing is common practice “, says Johannes Müller, Director Sales & Technology COMELT.
The product range of the company includes mono, coex and multi-manifold slot dies as well as feed blocks, sheet and blown dies as well as spinnerets. Generally, COMELT slot dies convince by its high flexibility regarding material and die design. Furthermore, they cover a wide range of applications and are available from 150 mm up to 3,000 mm.
„Moreover, for multi-layer films, we deliver different, variable feed block systems – for the development and the production of new, innovative film structures in technical centres resp. up to production scale. “
Perfecting of running times, product thickness & coating procedures
With this and with the continuous optimization of the product quality, COMELT offers products at the highest technical level. „During the last months, among other things, we have focused on the further maximisation of machine running times and the manual or fully automatic adjustment of the product thickness as well as width during running production.
Furthermore, we have successfully worked on new coating procedures for an optimized material flow combined with reduced sticking of polymers at the tools “, explains Müller.
„Generally, of course, the customer benefit has priority, that means, COMELT dies support our customers to optimize the quality as well as productivity of their production lines “, add DI Dr. Friedrich Kastner, CEO / Managing Partner COMELT and Bernhard Winter, CEO / Managing Partner COMELT. Here, sustainability is an important topic, that means the possibility to also process recycling material with COMELT dies and feed blocks.
Extension service network within the NGA Next Generation Analytics Group
The tool engineering company offers the entire process from design via 3D renderings, simulations up to mechanical manufacture in-house resp. in-group: The affiliated company COLLIN Lab & Pilot Solutions adds its know-how of plastic processing procedures for the development and design and the parent company NGA Next Generation Analytics supports as specialist for simulations. The dies and feed blocks are manufactured 100% in Austria.
Only recently, the COMELT service network could be extended by further agents, thus, COMELT customers are perfectly supported worldwide.
