COMELT at the Fakuma 2024:

At the Fakuma booth of the Next Generation Analytics Group, for the first time on the European market, COMELT shows its latest innovation, a high-tech extrusion die, the coflex 800 mm. „With this die, we have reached the next step of technology regarding automatic high-precision profile adaptation in the production of films“, explains DI Dr. Friedrich Kastner, CEO / Managing Partner COMELT.

Die width up to 4,000 mm, flexible product thickness modification within seconds
Especially for film producers, who need quick and stable profile adjustments during production operation, the coflex offers many advantages. With this system, the product thickness can manually or automatically be adjusted within seconds, the coflex adjustment range is +/- 3.0 mm. The central quick adjustment of the lower die lip is extremely precise, smooth and easy to maintain.

With the coflex, the customers can optimize the quality of their products combined with a maximisation of the machine running time. By the automation, set-up times can drastically be reduced, due to the perfect thickness profile, raw material can be saved. The max. possible COMELT die width is 4,000 mm.

Next Generation Analytics responsible for worldwide sales of COMELT dies
The COMELT extrusion dies are manufactured in Inzersdorf/Austria. The Next Generation Analytics GmbH in Grieskirchen/Austria is responsible for the development, the design as well as the international sales of the high-tech dies. Its affiliated companies COLLIN Lab & Pilot Solutions, BritAS Recycling, NGA Plastic Technology in the USA, in Singapore as well as India are also part of the NGA group.

COMELT slot dies – wide range of applications
In general, COMELT slot dies convince by their high flexibility regarding material and die design. Furthermore, they cover a wide range of applications and are available from 150 mm up to 3,000 mm. Depending on the requirements, the dies are made of standard or chrome steel, if desired, COMELT offers different coatings such as chromium nitride.

The range of products of the company includes mono, coex and multi-manifold slot dies as well as feedblocks, sheet and blown film dies and spinnerets. Moreover, customers can choose from numerous features and options, for example restrictor bars, deckling, auto die system for thermal bolts and much more.
